The convection microwave means it’s a larger microwave oven volume perhaps, and stainless steel, and maybe a smaller magnetron, but whatever the design reasons, it’s a weak microwave. Oven heating is terrible.. temperature is way off

Broke after six weeks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We moved into a new build, and paid quite a bit extra for Kitchen Aid appliances. I was very disappointed that our oven died after only six weeks. Then, it took at least another six weeks to get the part because the first one came "damaged". the microwave cannot make popcorn, either on or off popcorn setting. This is ridiculous.
