Returning them… almost burned my hand

I brought these on a whim to do a quick BBQ specifically for seasoning the grills and picking up the grates. With these, I can pick up hot coals but not a grates baked at 450F. I could feel the heat and the grates started to burn my hands… i’m returning and buy something better.
