The porcelain cracked during install on the corner. We didn’t notice until the whole corner was cracked away there was rust underneath. We decided to live with it instead of going through the trouble and cost of replacing. The other issue and why I am writing this review is the bottom of the sink always looks dirty. I’m assuming the finish was so thin it didn’t even last 2 years of part time use. I have also babied this sink since day one and have stainless steel Kohler name brand sink grate in...

Warranty is crap

Treat this sink with kid gloves, be sure you have the metal grate in the bottom and be very gentle. Builder installed in our home 2 years ago, if there was a crack in the corner it was unnoticable to both my husband and I. It took 2 years for the crack to become noticable and our water to stain it. Now that we have no home warranty we noticed a slight crack in this "cast iron" sink. Kohler refuses to honor their no chip, crack or burn warranty. stains easily. everything leaves black marks on it. I bought a silicone mat thinking that would help but that turns the sink yellow. Ive had for 1 year and have been having to scrub it everyday. I would never buy this kind again.

This sink is great, Kohlor quality but the mounting flange was not flat about 1/8" rock so I used some small shims and the sealer covered them. Lowes has the best price on this one and they stock it, Lover the one big bowl vs. the two little ones in most kitchens.
