Beware of safety problems
Did a total remodel of master bathroom and chose this shower pan due to Kohler brand and size needed. Unfortunately no mention was made in the write up about the Kohler Groove pan having NO slip resistance. Our remodel was done to update for safety as we are older, but this pan is not safe and is extremely slippery when wet. Now we will have to find a bath mat in order to use the shower, which means more cleaning problems, not to mention doesn't give a clean look. Can't believe any manufactu...

Shower Base
Actual size isn't 60"x42". The lip of the base has a different thickness at certain points. Appears warped or curved. Base isn't square. You may not have to cut a large hole in sub floor. Maybe use cement board as shims to level base, then cut needed size hole near drain area maybe 10"×7"

Poor quality and unfeasible installation
Kohler really let me down with this product. It looks thick and durable, but it's warped and not square. The installation instructions are a joke. Kohler wants you to cut a 6 inch by 57 inch hole in your subfloor. This is impossible if you have lvl or floor truss joist. The installation instructions said put 2 inch mounds of leveling floor compound under each foot, the so called feet were just unaligned osb pieces. This would offer no support and would spread out. If you buy this and then have to order the walls, don't go by the instructions included in the base. When we got the walls, it told us to build the wall shorter than what the base instructions said.
