Does Not Handle Like Mineral Wool
This is stuff far below other brands in the mineral wool category. This stuff is limp, crumbles, cuts poorly. Other brands are way different and much better to handle and work with. This stuff handles and cuts more lie fiberglass. I would rather pay more to get the normal mineral wool like rockwool or owens corning thermafiber.

Great Deadening
We put this under our subfloor and it instantly made the floor sound like it is solid. Can’t hear us walking upstairs from below. Batts are easy to separate and lay out between the joists. Wear a mask, though.

I picked this up instead of RockWool because it was cheaper. The JM mineral wool was raining grit down on me. Small pieces fell off the batt during installation. I’m itching like it was fiberglass. It’s not nearly as thick as the RockWool product. I calculated the pricing at $0.71/ square foot vs $0.86/ square foot. I will be returning the remaining bundles.
