Dead On Arrival 2026 S180 JD Mower

Lowes could probably save a lot of money and time if they ensured the mower ran before delivery. Mine never even started after arrival and now I'm receiving a replacement within twenty-four hours. Not the tractors' fault, but whom ever is responsible for uncrating and preparing for delivery should take more time to ensure the product is customer ready. I don't believe John Deere intends to have their product to be delivered in such condition. Lowes, wake-up not good for repeat shoppers!

Disappointed

We brought an s180 ever since we brought it hasn't run right. Took it to beaver checked out they want to replace carburetor manifold and gasket to a tune of $770. It has 3 hours on it.

BEWARE OF THE 2 YEAR BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY

Knocking on the door of 80, I fully expected this to be the last mower this combat wounded vet purchased. The warranty is worthless and make sure you vet the dealer that covers the warranty (it is NOT LOWES), I changed the soccer mom EasyChange oil and filter at 26 hours rather than 50 (outrageous price for a filter and a quart of oil), topped the oil in the three-quart sealed system according to the dipstick and less than 20 yards later, CLANG! it threw a rod. I like John Deere but get the extended warranty

Had it one day and it broke down Took Lowe’s in Maryville/Alcoa Tennessee a week to get it to John Deere Management dropped the ball Lowe’s should send me another new lawnmower

Product vs Customer Service

The product (Lawn Tractor) itself is a 5 star without question. The delivery process, how it arrived, what was missing and the days after with Lowes was unsatisfactory. Make sure when you pay and have a delivery, it arrives with everything it is suppose to, in a presentable manner and works thoroughly. I recommend taking pictures regardless. Don't Buy John Deere Lawn Tractors from Lowe's

DON’T PURCHASE RIDING MOWERS OR TRACTORS FROM Lowe’s BECAUSE THEY ARE DAMAGED. I tried to exchange the John Deere S180 riding lawn tractor that I purchased because it began experiencing several issues after only 12.5 hours of use & they would not do it. Broke on the first use.

The delivery was great. After I used my new tractor for the first time, I noticed a metal bar sticking straight out from under the cage and it was cutting grooves into my lawn. I later learned that it was a deflector from under the cage. I had to stop mowing my yard and go back to Lowes and schedule a pickup for a return. So I cannot give a good review for this tractor as I have only been able to use it for about 45 minutes before the tractor broke.
