I like the tractor, but I wish more attention was paid to preparation. I had to adjust the deck to make it within the specifications shown in the manual. Also, the engine oil level is showing it to be above the full mark by 1/4 of an inch.
Piece of Junk
Mower stalls after using it for 20 minutes, backfires upon turning ignition off, and it only has 6 hours of use. The plastic hood has melted on the bottom and it's fallen apart. Stay away from this lawnmower.

Great mower - love it!
We had a cub cadet Zero turn Z2 ultima. It broke we decided to try a lawn tractor and we love this. It isn’t as fast or reversible as a zero turn but it’s better I enjoy it more has more attachments available, easy oil changes, parts are easy to find. So while it might not be what we had we like its quality and ease of use. Plus it’s a JD! We got a free dump cart with it as well which is very nice!

Father's Day toy
I would take one star off for the dirty seat, but it was purchased for my husband for Father's Day. The delivery was great. I had no problems purchasing. My husband loves it except for the reverse feature.

LOUDEST MOWER I've OWNED! ARRIVED DAMAGED
I purchased this S180 from our local Lowe's hardware store. First of all, the delivery truck had a hard time getting it out of the delivery truck because the deck was wider than their platform to lower it, and the deck was caught on the descent. I thought for sure that the deck would be bent in the process. As best as I can tell, it is not, but that part could have been easily damaged. Delivered without any gas and they left not knowing If it works. Also I have the wrong seat without lumbar support the was standard on s180.

Check the level of the deck before cutting
The tractor is great but the assembly of the deck was not level.

The product came assembled and was able to drive right out and go to work. Everything was in good shape and the driver was able to unload right in the driveway.
