I did not have this riding mower for long due to reasons not related to the mower but rather poor salesmanship at the Middletown Ohio Lowe’s. Great Tractor

We purchased a new construction home with 1.25 acres of lawn with tough Texas grass that was knee high after we moved in by the first cut more like the branches of bush than blades of grass. We wanted the John Deere 380 but the dealer would not give a single dollar off MSRP. Best on the Market

I bought this John Deere to replace my 3 year old Craftsman (2015 model T3200). The Craftsman went through so many warranty repair issues- I could not see putting up with it for another few years, especially after warranty expiration (so at the end of the first 3 year warranty, I bought a SEARS one year extended warranty, and then sold it). I did allot (yes- lots) of online shopping for several brands and models, read allot of reviews, and then narrowed down to the E170 for my needs and desires....

Great value and performance

Great value and performance. After 13 years my 2005 L118 hydrostatic transmission failed. So transmission was the weak link as far as I was concerned in my search for a new mower. The E170 has an heavier-duty transmission upgrade as opposed to the lesser 100 series mowers. The transmission is the same as the X350. Picked this nice looking machine today and it fired right up. I took advantage of the 4 yr protection plan after some careful reading, looks to be the best Lowe's has offered in some time. This is a Mower - Not recommended for hills

Mower has 20 hours on it. Deck belt has broken twice. Now for the second time the drive belt has come off while going up a hill. This is 270 Dollar repair for the dealer to fix and it's not covered under warranty. On level ground/grass, this thing does fine, but I would not recommend this mower if you have any type of hills or bumpy, rough terrain. Mower Great. Delivery Service not so much.

Got my new mower today. Don't know where Lowes got this delivery service from but it leaves a lot to be desired. Was told at the store when I purchased it that when it was delivered that I would be shown all the features of the mower and a demonstration of how to operate the mower. I have never had a riding mower before but i was getting sick of using my push mower. 3.8 Hours of Total Mowing, 2 Mowers, & 2 Belts!!!!

After looking at other reviews, I purchased/invested in this mower with hopes that I could have it for several years. I mow my lawn frequently and mow on notch 8 of 12...in other words not too close to the ground at all. After 2 hours of mowing time on my original purchase, the belt snapped. This was 5 days after I purchased this mower.
