LOVE THIS MOWER !
I have a evil back yard it is banked so that no riding mower is safe upon it. I have copd and reqiure all the help i can get from a self propelled pusher. Currently my JD JS20 model is being repaired and the yard couldnt wait so I made a early replacement with this one the JS36. It started on the first pull and went right to work on that bank and the awaiting tall grass. It was a monster. All I had to do was try and keep up. I dont use the bagger never had a use for them but it mulched up that t...
Small Bag, Will not pick up wet grass at all.
Horrible grass pick up, grass has to be completly dry in order for the grass catcher to work. It always stars on first or second pull. The motor would be better suited for a go cart, the worst mower I have ever owned.
worst lawn mower I have owned
I bought the 6.5 hp version of this mower and it has been in the shop at least 4 times in the last 2 years. Not under warranty now and costs more to keep it working than it cost new. Drive belt gets hung up, engine keeps choking out (supposedly because I don't clean the air filter often enough). I have the dealer tune it up every spring and by june its in the shop again. I have about 9,000 sq ft of burmuda to mow, so its not like the dust and clippings are unusual. The Lowes guys were great, but...
very powerful
this mower will pick up anything even with tall wet grass. It"s also great for picking up leaves and small branches. It has great power and starts very easy but with this kind of horse power you will use a lot of gas. Even with that I still love it.
A great mower but don't abuse it!
Awesome handling great engine. not an indy car on the yard, but cuts grass with an industrial eye in mind. love how it handles the clutch is something to get use to but very basic, basic enough for a beginner to get. If you respect and take care of it the mechanical parts it will last long. I have owned mine and use the dogies out of it and it runs and drive like new. P.S I'm a privet owner and don't work for Lowe's or John Deer and I bought this mower for a Christmas gift to me and i love this ...

choke or primer? My machine does not have one, it takes a number of times to get it going, the other day took 15-20 pulls to get it going. After the 1rst start it starts first pull every time. Or is there a hidden button somewhere?
