Good product, TERRIBLE shipping

I love Hardie board. It's an excellent product. I've ordered it before online from Lowes and it showed up neatly and professionally packaged. But not this time. It was stacked on a pallet that was way too small and it only had 2 bands on it. Lots of damage.

High end looks, reasonable price and it won't rot.

First time I've ever worked with Hardy Board siding, and it turned out great. I replaced deteriorating fiberboard siding around my screened in porch. The new cedarmill siding has an amazing high-end look and was easy to work with. Just get the right blade to cut it, wear a dust mask and don't rush. Would have used this stuff years ago if I had known it existed.

Great replacement for wood.

We’re so happy that this product exists! The carpenter bees were having a party on the wood under the eaves at our house. We’ve replaced it with the Hardie cement board, which we painted. Voila! The bees have nothing to drill into now and it looks great.

Disturbingly poor customer service

Disturbingly poor customer service, after being contacted not once but twice that our order was ready for pickup We arrived the next day to collect our order. There was no one to help us, we wandered around and found someone who could not find our order. More and more employees gathered to help. None of them would speak to us to answer our questions. Having paid high prices for construction goods with delivery,we found 15 broken Hardy boards and I took pictures of the damage.

yes it seems convenient to order from the big box stores but the service that's provided is terrible. the delivery i paid $79 for was delivered to the house across the street, not in front of mine. the delivery driver was very rude. Im home alone with my baby and depend on deliveries to not create more work for me (especially when it's 12' siding boards). many of the boards arrived damaged as well.
