SunResist Low-E insulating glass with argon provides more protection against heat gain by blocking harmful infrared rays, as well as providing greater energy savings
Top sash is stationary; bottom sash slides open vertically
Built with high-quality extruded vinyl (in your choice of white, desert sand or almond) that won't chip or peel and resists fading, mildew and condensation
Block and tackle balance system supports the vertical operation of the sash in single-hung and double-hung styles, so the sash will not slam shut
Weatherstripping creates a tight seal against outdoor elements

Bad windows
Hardware made of corrosive steel and aluminum. After few years the retaining parts of bottom pane rusts out. Can’t secure in the slots. Looses spring action to make slide easily. The pins holding screen corrodes away and breaks so can’t remove screen.

Jeld-Wen will not stand behind their product
We purchased 7 of these windows. Picked up from Lowes, stored for a couple of weeks before delivering them out to our new build for install. The installers called us as they were having trouble installing them and they appeared warped, one window was falling apart and some had condensation between the glass. We went back to Lowes with our issues and they arranged for Jeld-Wen to send a warranty inspector out to assess. The warrant guy agreed these were warped. After a few days we received a lett...

first time window installer
I bough this window to replace my window that was in the 1970s that had horrible sound control and insulation too. This window is a huge improvement for my room, its also adds a little tint to the window compare to my old one. its hasn't got hot yet or very cold but well worth it if u own a old broken window or single pane window too. I paid less than $260 as of 2024 not on sale.

Junk!
So I had 10 of these installed 7 years ago. Screen frame is not a standard gauge or size. All 10 screens are now falling apart after 7 years, screen size is special so I can't just go build one with materials from a hardware store, obviously proprietary. Had Lowes do the install too.. they didn't do what they said, patch for gap between window and brick facade is just bad now. Buy Pella, you'll never looks back.. Had 11 windows done, the Pella is flawless, it didn't require 'special' install pro...

Jeld-Wen customer service is quite poor.
Window sash retention clip broke the first time I removed the sash. Trying to get a replacement from Jeld-Wen has proven unproductive. I would say this window is of mediocre quality.

JUNK
We spent $10k+ on Jeld-Wen windows to replace our existing and for a new edition. Half of the windows came from the factory with quality issues, so we had to wait for replacements. Then they came again with issues - Jeld-Wen replaced the sashes on some... now they are installed and will not open/close correctly. We have been dealing with Jeld-Wen for more than six months and they do not seem at all concerned and have not offered to do anything for us. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT BUY!
