Island Retreat Boho Breeze 7-ft L Metal Hammock Stand

Rusted in a Month Outdoors

Really loved these and they went together well! We used them for hanging hammock chairs. They would probably be great in a covered patio area where they stay 100% dry. Outdoors, mine started rusting within a month at the welded joints and connections with very little rain. We thought we'd at least get one year out of them. Disappointed, but thankfully it happened quick enough we could return them for a refund.

False advertising

Unfortunately, this item broke less than a week after receiving it. We intentionally chose a stand with a high weight limit. The Lowe’s website listed the weight limit for this stand as 450lbs. The paperwork included with the stand listed the weight limit as 300lbs. When a 230lb person used this item the metal X connecting the four legs of the base bent and the whole stand fell over along with the person in it. Fortunately, they were okay. The stand has been returned to Lowe’s.

Not well made

Product is not very sturdy. The small top tubes go in inside the larger opening bottom tubes allowing for the rain/water to go down inside the bottom tubes, which have no drains, this will promote a buildup of water and of course rust over time. The smaller tubes also do not go all the way down into the larger tubes meaning the pressure is on the screws. I'm thinking this is headed back!! Sincerely, Frustrated Ron!!! So much for a nice surprise gift for the wife!! (See Photos)
