tape holding roll together rips off underlayment
I can't vouch for it's efficacy, but I can tell you that the band of tape they use to keep the roll from ufurling (it also has a plastic bag over it, so redundant) pulls part of the underlayment off when removed. The tape damages the product upon removing it. So basically you get a damaged product in a section of it right off the bat.

Solid underlayment
Easy to work with. Rolls flat quickly, cut clean. Sound dampening is real. Footsteps are muted and you don't get that tinny echo you sometimes get with floating floors.

I recently installed the Insulayment underlayment beneath my hardwood flooring, and I'm thoroughly impressed. The installation was straightforward, and the material laid flat without any issues. Since adding this underlayment, I've noticed a significant reduction in noise transmission between rooms, making my home much quieter. Our Fed Ex driver left it 1,000ft. from the house. By the road in light rain. Anyone could have stolen it. Our regular driver would have left it on our covered front porch. Hopefully we will be able to use it.
