Insulayment is our premium underlayment choice allowing firm support for multiple types of flooring with great acoustic benefits. This product is built with sound reduction in mind. Synthetic fiber underlayments are fast becoming the most specified product by architects and designers, due to their acoustical and moisture protection qualities. This synthetic fiber underlayment will support and maintain the functionality of your flooring for a lifetime. A patented manufacturing process repurposes post-industrial and post-consumer materials into high-performance underlayment, giving you a unique eco-friendly option for flooring underlayment. Insulayment underlayment can also be used with radiant heat systems such as QuietWarmth, for an extra warm and cozy floor.

Insulayment offers superior support to ceramic tile, porcelain tile, hardwood, laminate, and more!
Can be used with floating, glue-down, thin-set, or nail-down installation methods.
Recycled fibers absorb sound and keep it from traveling to other rooms, which makes click-together floating floors sound solid underfoot.
Dense intertwined structure supports the seams of your floor and won't compress under consistent foot traffic.
No attached film means excellent bond with adhesives or mortar/thinset.
Certified Clean and Safe Indoor Air Quality because Insulayment emits no VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds) or off-gassing from materials.
Pair with QuietWarmth Radiant Heat System for added comfort as Insulayment allows heat to permeate evenly while helping to protect the floor covering material from thermal shock.
Made of Recycled Synthetic Fibers in the USA.
If you need an underlayment with an attached moisture barrier check out our QuietWalk family of products!

tape holding roll together rips off underlayment

Would Not Recommend

I can't vouch for it's efficacy, but I can tell you that the band of tape they use to keep the roll from ufurling (it also has a plastic bag over it, so redundant) pulls part of the underlayment off when removed. The tape damages the product upon removing it. So basically you get a damaged product in a section of it right off the bat.

Solid underlayment

Would Recommend

Easy to work with. Rolls flat quickly, cut clean. Sound dampening is real. Footsteps are muted and you don't get that tinny echo you sometimes get with floating floors.

Excellent Underlayment

Would Recommend

I recently installed the Insulayment underlayment beneath my hardwood flooring, and I'm thoroughly impressed. The installation was straightforward, and the material laid flat without any issues. Since adding this underlayment, I've noticed a significant reduction in noise transmission between rooms, making my home much quieter. Additionally, the floor feels more solid underfoot, and the added cushioning enhances comfort.

Our Fed Ex driver left it 1,000ft. from the house. By the road in light rain. Anyone could have stolen it. Our regular driver would have left it on our covered front porch. Hopefully we will be able to use it.
