IRWIN Hanson 2-Pack Metric Tap and Drill Set

It Wasn't Even Metric!

IRWIN Hanson 2-Pack Metric Tap and Drill Set: The #9 drill was fine but the tap, labeled M6 on the package and stamped on the shaft of the tap, was actually a 1/4"-20 thread. Fortunately, I had taken another M6-1 tap (Bosch) with me for a job at a distant site. The M6-1 eye bolts I was using screwed right into the Bosch-threaded holes, but became impossibly jammed as I tried to screw them into this Irwin-threaded hole.

Did the job!

It accomplished the task I needed it to without any issue. No companies at all.

I like these, the drill bit cut very well (only have used it once) the tap also cut very well.. would definitely buy another size I may need. 2 👍🏽 up

One Time Need

I had a need to drill out a broken screw. I didn't want to purchase a whole set for the one tap I needed, and this came with the appropriate drill bit--so no guesswork there.

I’m happy that it came with the exact size drill which made very easy to make the threads no guessing

I had some threads that needed cleaned up. I ran this tap through them and they are as good as new!
