Powerful Brush Cutter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this about a month ago, I must say I have owned other brands in the past but this one beats them all. Very happy with it’s performance. Thanks

Pole Shaft is Much Too Short
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 555FX brushcutter has all the features of a highly capable professional-grade work tool. Unfortunately, the pole shaft length is much too short for a tall operator (6'0"+). I tried my neighbor's new 555FX and the blade was almost 2 feet off the ground when I stood up straight. Having to hunch over for hours of brushcutting to get your cuts close to the ground completely defeats the benefits of brushcutting. I might as well use my chainsaw t...

Great when it runs
Impossible to start without the magic word from OPE: Do NOT push compression button in, and if it is in, lift it with screwdriver or needle nosed pliers. And a warm start is nasty; might as well take break to let it cool. Same as with Husqvarna chainsaws. Then it is great. Compare with Stihl 451, rumored to be made in China, and not available in less than 4 months.

So Far, So Good!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only fault is the shaft is too short for brush clearing. Needs to be two feet longer.

Perfect path clearing machine
I bought mine just over a year ago to make paths and clearings on heavily wooded 200 acre property. With the carbide blade, cuts like butter to about 6 inch diameter. Really fast work. I've cut up to 10 inches with a bit of time and finesse. I've gone out 6 half days in a year and have more than cleared what I planned to do with many more trips. Fun as heck and balanced with the harness. It's like play not work.

Good performance , poor design on air filter
Have bought a couple of these saws over the years and they have great power and cutting ability. I’ve found that the nylon air filter does a poor job filtering fine dust which causes a lot of wear on the internal engine.

Power and Safety
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For light clearing of up to 6 inch saplings, its a breeze. Cuts faster than a chainsaw and the work is being done farther away from me. With the harness, most of the wieght is on my shoulders allowing me to focus strength on controling the cuts. Actually feels much lighter than carrying a chainsaw, and cutting saplings at ground level is so much easier. Starts surprisingly easy and has low fuel consumption for the work being done. Although pric...
