Husqvarna 440 40.9-cc 2-cycle 18-in Gas Chainsaw

Replacement for a 15 year old 435

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the 440 to replace my (15 year old) 435. I have 3 acres of trees and needed a larger saw to help around the yard. Have used other saws but keep coming back to my Husky's.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this saw the other day and cuts like butter. Has a 18 inch bar and was cutting trees that width. It cut through very fast. Easy to use and easy to start with the pump bulb. Recommend

Garbage from Lowes

Chainsaw is impossibly hard to start especially after using it then shutting it off for a few moments to refuel, sharpen chain etc. Also boggs down badly during most cuts. Tried to return it but was informed by Lowes that you need to return within 48 hours. Its very hard to evaluate a chainsaw in 48 hours. That policy is just a copout by Lowes because they know the chainsaws they sell are garbage and are likely to be returned. I would highly recommend steering clear of any Husqvarna chain saw an...

Cuts great....when I can get it started

Usually starts acceptably except after: I use it, stop it, wait about 15 minutes, then try to restart. Always gives me trouble starting with that scenario. Unfortunately this happens a lot when using a chainsaw. You always need to re-fuel, add chain oil, or just move the wood you've been cutting. I suspect its a flooding issue because if I wait a few hours it starts again. Other than the restart issue, this seems to be a pretty good quality machine. Feels solid with enough power for what I need....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this saw a few years already. Give it a yearly tune up. Runs just fine. Easy to start and a good basic saw. I wouldn't use it for professional use but throwing it in the back of the truck and going in the woods is just fine. Cut quite a few down trees after windstorms. Just an all around decent saw for general use. Down side will leak bar oil. So I fill it for the job I'm doing. And it's a pressurized tank so when I'm done I unscrew the fil...

Steer Clear of this brand!!!

STEER CLEAR OF THIS BRAND!!! My saw did not idle right out of the box. Lowe’s wouldn’t take it back and Husqvarna did nothing to help me except telling me to take it to one of their service centers. Not only did the service center say they’d have to send it out and I would have to wait three weeks to get it back. They wanted to charge me to repair it. This was a brand new saw. Highly recommend you go with a different brand in case you have a problem because they could care less once they’ve gott...

Work on the packing of the product for shipping.

Shipping could have been better. Box came re-taped and crushed. Thankfully the saw was okay. Cranked right up and ran perfectly.

Order it well before you need it

Ordered on Friday supposed to be there Sunday didn't come until Wednesday which normally wouldn't be a problem except I had friends over on Sunday to help me cut a tree down and of course I had no soul
