Just bought this for a tenant. Love the simplicity and the clean lines. I wish I had this in my home rather than my fancy duelfuelstainless steel stove with heavy grates. Keeping the stainless steel shiny and clean is a constant chore and washing the grates, which are huge and heavy and don't fit my sink or dishwasher is annoying as can be. And the electric oven takes 25 minutes to heat up. **Lucky tenants** to have this basic gas range instead of mine..

Basics are the best, stay analogue.
Stove is mechanical and happy to avoid motherboards with electronics that fail over time. If products are taken care of, and kept clean, they will last for years.

Stovetop difficult to adjust in the simmer range
1) It is hard to adjust the burners in the simmer range - even the simmer burner. They adjust gradually to about 4 then suddenly go to nearly nothing and simmer is a fine adjustment in that drop off range. 2) There is no beep or light or any way of knowing when the oven has come up to temperature. I have to put an oven thermometer in the oven and set a timer for 20 minutes (and yes it takes 20min to come up to 450F) 3) There is no oven light.

Bad Buy Oven won't work
I got this the end of Sept and since I live alone I didn't use the oven till mid Dec to bake cookies. I found it doesn't bake at temperature I set it for. Tech has been here twice. This is a very plain stove and only 3 things could be wrong and two usually happen to an older stove.They replaced thermostat and the same night I found it wasn't working right. GE repair says they want to try more parts and can't find them. I want a stove that works now!!!!

Not safe for toddlers and children.
Stove is made cheap. You put a frying pan on stove and walkway to refrigerator the frying pan ends up on floor. The burner tops are slick and smooth.Fry pan ended up on floor so far 3 times. My main concern is the safety for children. My 18mo burned his hand on the bottom door which has a gap in it .That would be the broiler door. Not happy at all with this cheaply made stove. It should be made better and the broiler door should have a lock on it of some sort.The door is to easy to open also. Ha...

I just this stove and have not used it yet but installation was very easy. The only negative comments I have are thus; - for the broiler I would prefer a tray and not a rack that came included with the stove. - Since the stove has a back splash type backing it would make a world of a difference if this had a built in clock & thermostat and maybe even a back shelf.
