Freak short in original: humidity in air handler?

Replacing damaged part of 3 year old unit that powers the UV light bulb. The original had one of the 4 power sockets that the lamp plugs into shorted out. I suspect that running the HVAC system in constant air circulation mode while having this fixture on a timer in the attic may have gotten the lamp and/or this power unit get condensation in that socket from summer humidity that shorted out that socket. Good for allergys

At first did not like the smell it produced but after a week smell disipayed and my wifes sneezing was reduced dramatically

Definitely improved air quality

Whatever was in the air bothering my lungs that caused real bad coughing fits, seems to have been fixed by installing this in my return duct.

Surprisingly Great Product

This purifier was easy to install. It is critical to have a tool that will cut a 2 in hole in the return duct. My wife and I believe that we are having fewer allergy problems with this purifier. I recommend it to anyone who can use it.

It's easy to install and makes a difference with indoor air quality. Kudos to Lowes for not price gouging given the recent spike in demand.

I think its working

Hard to tell if it's really working to kill the invisible enemy. I think it is working. However, when I sit close to a vent that is close to the HVAC room, I can smell a musty burnt smell every now and then when system is at rest. Cannot smell anywhere else so not really an issue. This is why I give it 4 stars. But again, hard to know if it really works when you buy something like this to prevent something else from happening. I was recently on vacation and my sinuses flared up something awful. Not even a full 24 hours of being home I had hardly any issues with my sinuses. I forgot how much of a difference this beautiful device makes. So much so I had to share. Totally worth the money. Easy to install into your furnace. Takes about 20 mins to install. Easy to maintain.
