Honeywell Antique Brass Keypad Electronic Knob Lock

Excellent for landlords

No more calls from renters because they locked themselves out. Change code easily with next renter. Bought 2 a few years ago. Found 2 more on close out. Programming w/ a little learning curve but made sense. I think Honeywell is discontinuing. Sorry to see that. Was a great product. I tried a knock off brand but quality was awful.

Piece of junk

Be glad this comes with a key, because none of the electronic keypad works. Pressing lock works sometimes. Trying to enter an unlock code, keypresses are often skipped. Save your money.

Not Durable, Customer Service Terrible

My first one lasted about 4-5 months before the inside door knob kept pulling off in my hand. I called the warranty department and they happily replaced my doorknob. The 2nd one had a defect and would not lock, after going around and around with the warranty department thru texts (Courtney) they finally sent me a return label to send the doorknob in, that was 3 months ago. She finally said they were sending a new door knob out, that was 1 month ago and she will no longer respond to my calls or t...

Worked good a while then dumped

Worked for a while. Then not locking electronically. Adjusted door and checked batteries. All good. Then shortly NOTHING. not a thing. Replaced batts - nothing. Opened it up and saw a bad solder - resoldered - but nothing. Looked further into it and saw electrical connection parts that can’t be replaced exactly cost effectively. Looks like some type of corrosion got to it. So it’s dead. Get a better one that won’t fall apart. *all the corroded parts were the interior not exterior half.

Junk

This lasted a few weeks and then the handle started pulling off in your hand from the inside and from the outside it would go through the unlock process and then the handle wouldn't turn so you could not get in your house. After repeated attempts to fix it and it would work sporadically I am DONE with having to walk around my house tot he back door to get in and/or not being able to open the door to guests, etc. Metal is too soft where dimple pokes through. DO NOT BUY!!

Included keys do not work

Installed the knob, everything works great except the keys. They go into the knob but won't turn. We didn't really need the keys because of the keypad, so we forgot about it. Now it's 5 months later and I've been thinking that we will need the keys when we sell our house, so I contacted Honeywell, and their only solution is to return the whole thing to Lowe's after it's already been installed for 5 months.

Complete trash

Worked great for about two weeks, now the electronic locking mechanism just gets stuck (and beeps at us as loud as it can to let us know that it’s stuck). Will be either returning it or giving it away to someone I don’t like. 100% trash

Inaccurate proramming instructions.

The lock was easy to onstall but the programming was confusing. Code to.open lock cam be 4 to 8 digits. But in reality has to be 8 to work. Spent too much time until we finally fiured it out by watching a youtube video

Doesn't last

In the beginning it works great. Install was moderately easy. Programming not so much. We finally gave up and just kept the generic code that came with the lock. However, it is reached the point where the lock is no longer of any use to anyone. There is a notch that the knob attaches to the base with that not wears down over time and the handle comes off in your hand when you shut the door sometimes flying across the room with my kids. Stopped working after 10 months

I purchased this product and it worked fine for the first 9 months. When they keypad stopped working properly I assumed the batteries were dying, but the problem persisted. Now the entire right side of numbers do not work. I even got locked out of my house once because of it. A product like this at this price should last a lot longer than 9 months.
