Not compatible with Trane Heatpump

Wasted so much time trying to "upgrade" my Trane thermostat. It simply cannot be done. The included instructions were completely unhelpful, the online support from Honeywell was inadequate, and digging further into YouTube videos...there is no path. Trane is not a small chunk of America's Heat Pump market...so, I'm completely lost as to why it's not a supported unit. Further, why not be honest about that on the packaging. Ugh...

Loved the ability to set temp

I loved the ability to set temperature for time of the day. Mine was destroyed by a power surge

The instructions for setting it up jump are all over the place in the manual. It starts out fine and then you jump to a different page and back again. Not sure if I even have it set up right and still trying to figure it out. Just about ready to go back to my old thermostat or find one that is a lot simpler to operate.

Even I could install it

My thermostat was working properly. I called Honeywell and they gave me a list of thermostats to replace it with. After I purchased it, I followed the install instructions and installed it myself. (I am a 73 year old grandma!) and now have a programmable thermostat and it works!!

Works great do far.

Easy to install; used the advice and guidance of an experienced hvac person. The hardest part was putting in the mollies (which i hate doing).
