Terrible Customer Service

Just like some of the other reviews, we purchased our dehumidifier on July 26, 2024. It ran fine and we were pleased with it. Then about 2 weeks before the warranty was to expire, the unit began icing up and we kept getting an error code. We did everything we were instructed by the manual to do - twice. Will last as long as the warranty

I purchased this unit in June 2024. In June 2026 it started “acting up”. I tried everything that the manual said to do and it only lasted 4 hours. I tried again, same issue. I tried calling Hisense, I got a robot. I had purchased another brand of dehumidifier before this one and it lasted 1 year. I decided to buy a Hisense due to the 2 year warranty. Ironically, 2 years and 2 days after my purchase date, the unit is not working properly.

Dehumidifier

After 1 year and six months it stopped working and displayed an Error code E-9. I contacted Hisense and was told it needed to be replaced. I am still waiting for warranty authorization. Make sure to keep the RECEIPT!! Should have lasted much longer.

works great when it works

had it for less than 2 months for our garage that's heated just has moisture when the snow melts off the truck. put it on auto I was dumping the container daily for probably 4 weeks then it quit having water in it while continuing to run. I assumed my fiance was just dumping it before I'd get to it in the morning. nope it just quit sucking up water not even 6 weeks in to owning it

Does its job well

This review is coming after only 2 months of using this dehumidifier, so don't know much about long-term use, but right now we are very pleased with it. We normally have a problem with humidity in our basement every summer and use a dehumidifier every day. Did not last a year

Bought this dehumidifier in Jan 2025 and it already quit working with an E9 code, and after reading other site reviews this is a common issue with this model. Sadly since I cannot find my receipt I cannot get it fixed under warranty so I guess I am just out of luck. If I would have known about this issue I would not even have bought this unit. Save your money and spring for a better quality instead of this one.

dont buy a hisense dont last

Bought May 2022 died April 2025

Had 10 year old Whirlpool that started making noise after 10 years waking us up at night. Ran 6 - 7 months a year in 800 sqft basement depending on humidity. Bought this Hisense one May 2022. Worked great for 3 years and then stopped condensing. Took to repair shop and they wanted $125 just to look at it. We had paid $247 for it. Junked it. Bought a new GE one for $259. Daughter still using the old Whirlpool we bought 13 years ago for $169 one at her house.

Nice dehumidifier for a basement

Had a good experience with a smaller model of this dehumidifier so purchased this one to lower the humidity level in the basement. Unlike some dehumidifiers I've owned that were nearly impossible to get to run, this one turns on when the humidity level reaches the set point. It is quiet with only some fan noise and no typical a/c compressor noises. My only worry about this one and the smaller one is the hard plastic collection bucket.
