I'd give it a 3.5 if I could. The actual air conditioner is pretty solid, but the connections and fittings are terrible. One of the hose clips broke off with casual handling when I was trying to install it, but the other 3 still hold. The big problem is the plastic window mount, which absolutely WILL NOT support the weight of the hoses without coming unclipped, and that's what you need to keep it from venting hot air back into your house. Our A\C unit died and it was in the 90s the unit really saved us for three nights. Really did not plan on spending the money but so glad we did.

Love my New Portable air conditioner!

Good directions for assembly. Easy installation and set up right out of the box, nothing missing. The plastic tabs that keep the end pieces attached to the hose are small and I snapped one off by accident.I like that this doesn't need a catch bowl that you drain periodically. It's pretty quiet on the Sleep setting, and it gets nice and cold, works just like the box says.

I purchased this unit over a year ago and it still works great. I purchased another new units on 6/29/25 for my up staris. 2 days later the unit stopped working and would not turn on. Went through all the trouble shooting and testing, but it is a bad unit. When I called Lowes to see if I could return/exchange the unit at the store, they said yes. Powerfully effective portable a/c.

After our roof a/c unit went out on our almost travel trailer and we couldn’t get service from our RV dealer warranty, we were very desperate for relief from October heat. This cooled the entire 28’ TT down in 30 minutes and has kept us cool all the way from Kentucky to Florida. I’m amazed that this portable a/c is so good at cooling and doesn’t need water to be emptied. Don’t know if it’s worth the trouble of getting a roof a/c as it never cooled this well.
