This zinc hex lag screw provides adequate corrosion and rust protection, making it a good choice for outdoor projects. Use this lag screw to attach objects to wood and anchor masonry. Common applications include retaining walls, deck frames, and outdoor play equipment. For masonry application, use the screw in conjunction with a lag shield. This zinc hex lag screw has coarse threads designed for pre-drilled holes to prevent splitting or snapping, and requires minimal clearance above the fastener. Poorly made
I was bolting 2 pieces of wood together using a rachet and socket. The first bolt broke, snapped into 2 pieces. The second one bent. I plan to spend a little more money and get something more durable.

Head breaks off too easy
Head of the first 2 broke off tightening them with a simple nut driver. I stopped using them right away and won't try again.
