I purchased 2 of these rods. I wanted to use them as shafts with pillow blocks. One rod fit my pillow blocks fine and one was too big. Another issue I ran into was the rods were covered with black oily stuff which I had to work hard to remove. The 3rd issue was that the rods were not perfectly straight and straight was a requirement for my application.

Inexpensive functional but dirty low accuracy.
The metal diameter varies needed to be sanded to fit in skateboard bearings where I was using it. Extremely dirty be sure to handle it with gloves or a paper towel or you will have filthy hands and dirty clothes. Ask me how I know.
