all the seed cakes were solid and in one piece. have bought on line before and the cakes arrived in a gazillion pieces...not enough of a solid piece to place in the holders.

Even squirrels don't like it ...

Quality

I have all issues with Heath Outdoor Products. Poor quality compared to the Audubon Woodpecker Seed Cake. The material used to bind the seeds was insufficient, and the seeds flaked off just by holding the cake. Meaning the woodpecker would easily destroy the cake in short order. Also because the cake flaked easily, the packaging allowed the several of the cakes to sustain damage. Not cakes at all, they're just loose seed!

I'm really upset about this purchase. They show you the same bird seed cakes that you buy in the store but when you get them they're not labeled like those and they're just loose seed with a clump in the center in bags there are no cakes in this entire case!

Not as advertised

This seed cake is advertised to have primarily peanuts and sunflower seeds but the product I received both times I purchased it was primarily oat groats. The ingredients list on the product I received did not match the ingredients list on the image on the site at all. Neither the birds nor squirrels were particularly interested and the groats left a mess all over. I have stopped buying this product.

Damaged!

Arrived with damages. About one third of blocks were loose due to being crushed during transit! Birds liked what was left O.K.

Received my case of 8 today. Each one is a crumbling mess. Opened the first one and a third of it fell on the ground. Not in a chunk, it was just loose seeds. All of them are the same. I never had this problem with any of the National Audubon cakes, which are now out of stock. If this change was made so they could replace the Audubon cakes with a cheaper cake, that goal was accomplished. However, you can’t make a profit with a product you can’t sell.
