These come with a double-sided sticky pad that you stick to the wall, and then a plastic block that sticks to the sticky pad, and then the peace at the ends of the rod slides onto those plastic blocks. Turns out the plastic blocks don't stick to the sticky pad very well. So the weight of the curtain rod winds up causing the whole thing to fall off the wall.
