Green core S2S hardboard boasts an exceptional finishing surface which is oil-tempered for extra toughness. The pure solid™ core provides strength without knots, lamination, or loose fiber. The surface is ultra smooth on both sides for flawless finishing. It is easy to coat, router cut, or laminate. The panel is perforated with 9/32 In. holes, 1.0 In. on center, starting 1/2 In. from the edges. It may be attached to 16 In. on center studs, with cross bracing top and bottom, or to furring strips with similar spacing that are anchored to the wall. It is an environmentally responsible product fully made in the USA, from trees grown in sustainable managed forests of northern Michigan. Hardness is over 2200 lbs. per sq. In. green core S2S hardboard is a formaldehyde free product as there is no added formaldehyde in the manufacture of this product. Dimensions: 3/16" thick X 24" wide x 48" long.
