Pull chain
We had had to replace the globe twice within the first 6 months for $20 each time. The fan chain doesn't line up correctly. The globes break when you try to change the fan speed. It is actually quite dangerous. We left the chain off the fan so that hopefully the globe won't break again but we will have to keep it at medium speed all the time. Perhaps this is why the fan was on sale for $89 ... I got fooled. Next time it breaks, I will have to replace the fan. Do NOT recommend this brand or...
pull chain issue
we have had this ceiling fan for 5 years now. the chains are breaking off inside the base. we can no longer turn them off and on by pulling the chain. I'm thinking we're going to need to take the fan off the ceiling and try to repair it.

Stylish, effective fan at a good price
Fan looks great with the blade shape and nice light cover that provides plenty of light with a warm tone. The fan runs quietly and has 3 speeds which addresses any situation. Installation is easier with 2 people but possible for 1. Attaching the housing just beneath the blades was challenging based on the location of the holes, the short length of the screws and only 2 hands to get it done. Overall a great fan and worth some of the minor installation obstacles.
