Its narrower than the whole at the base

This down-rod does not fit in the harbor breeze fan's base perfectly. Once you tighten the rod to the motor base, its off to the side, not centered. I had to wedge some pieces of rubber on the inside to make it fit dead centered when tighten the rod to the base. This helps with the crazy wobbling. It would be nice that they make one specific to their brand of fans so it fits dead center with no room on the sides to cause play.
