Purchased this unit in January 2025, the unit worked fine until today when it leaked all over my wood floor. So out it goes. Now happy about replacing this for the price I paid I think it should last longer than 11 months.

Not worth the price
Stopped working after 10 days. Called lowes for a replacement, would not do it unless I had used my lowes card (so they would get credit) and had the box. Manufacturer would not help me and told me to call lowes. The water sensor light would not go off despite being full and doing all troubleshooting methods via the manual, manufacturer suggestions and youtube.

Waste of money
We have literally had this humidifier for a week and already it has stopped working. Cleaned it, refilled it, did everything. The sensor is not processing water in the tank, and lowes "might" accept it back without the box. $129 absolutely wasted. And I will never see that money back.
not as advertised
This Homemedics model WMTF185 does not humify any where near the advertised area of over 500 sq ft. I have it in my 16'x 18' (288 sq ft) living room and it can only maintain 25 to 30% humidity levels on highest output, constant on. Very disappointed! It is, however, very quiet and easy to clean.
Not a great value, poor reliability.
Had this less than a year with use only in winter months, and now it leaks from the bottom. Its been cared for, cleaned, and after less than 4 months of use, will now be replaced. For the price/value, we will probably stay away from Homedics when we replace this.

Save your money
I purchased this unit less than 1 year ago, and it was performing reasonably well until 3 weeks ago. After cleaning the unit (per instructions) as I had faithfully been doing, it began leaking all over my floor. I cleaned it AGAIN and tried to use it (thinking maybe I had missed something) but no it began leaking everywhere almost immediately.
