Ok paint. Not great

I used a satin white to paint our living room walls. I made the choice to use this over the equivalent valspar that am used to. Walls were prepped and primed before painting. It rolls on thin, coverage was not great. Two coats on, could probably use a third. Cutting in corners as I went still picture framed. Not anything like the Sherwin Williams I used in the past, but not worth switching from valspar.

Cissing and poor coverage

Bought a quart to cover freshly primed interior door and molding. I’d used a recommenced bonding primer which was dry, flat and smooth. Ovation did a poor job of covering...it will take 2-3 coats of off white to cover white primer. Worse... the appearance of tiny craters in the paint (cissing). I’ve done a LOT of painting over the years and have never seen this. You would never expect it on a freshly primed surface. I’m left wondering if this is really SW paint. Hugely disappointing.

It's very chinsey doesn't set well would never buy it again

I wouldn't buy it again.... Ever. I've done alotta painting n this is by far the most disappointing. If I had to paint again I wouldn't buy this kind and if is all there was then I guess I just wouldn't paint then. Usually they have good product and that's why I'm so disappointed really. Fair product for the price

I have used many paints from professional brands like Pittsburg and PPG but for the price, this paint works extreamly well. The finish is even and smooth with no noticeable variation in brush stroke or roller marks. A little stinky but it’s paint so it is expected. Many of the reviews are complaining about no “one coat” coverage. Be realistic. If you are painting a light color like white, you will need more than one coat no matter your product selection. terrible paint

if people are givimg this paint a good review, they've obviously never used good quality paint. sherwin williams makes some of the worst paint you can buy, and this is the creme of the crop. has taken FIVE coats to cover wood trim, doesn't have a smooth texture, and peels away as you take off masking take. i am purchasing a new pail of paint, for fear of my painted bookshelf chipping within a year. you're better off spending $20 more on benjamin moore, or valspar

Great Color Options but bad coverage.

I love the color options HGTV offers. Unfortunately the quality of the actual paint does not stand up. I started to paint one room and it did not cover well at all. I had bought the same paint for another room which was a waste as I’m just gonna go out and buy a higher quality product to cover both rooms.

Loved this product

I used this paint to paint two of my bathrooms. Awesome coverage. II could have used one coat but decided on two for better coverage. The only thing was the smell was strong. But otherwise I recommend

Does not cover in one coat

I’m surprised by all of the positive reviews. The coverage is horrible. I could tell as soon as I started applying this paint that it was not going to cover well. Painted one wall and quit, going to the big box store to buy the brand I’ve used to paint my other rooms. Such a disappointment!

Not one coat coverage!

So extremely disappointed in this product. I’m a faithful Behr user but decided to give Sherwin Willliams Showcase a try. I painted a 10x10 room and used the entire gallon and it still did not cover. I was not going over a dark color either. I can safely say I will never use this product again.

Horrible!

This paint is horrible! It says its paint and primer in one, then why on Earth it it taking 3 to 4 coats to get even color? I spent a great deal of money on this paint in order to paint the entire interior of my home, but I don't think I will be able to finish my project as it's taking so many coats. I could have gone to the big orange box and bought paint that I know would have went on in one coat, for the same money, however it's so very far away.
