Plum tree
This plum tree comes bare root so now I have a stick in my garden that I hope will get leaves and in five or six years bear fruit. Why Lowes thinks a product review for a stick is a good idea is beyond me.

Dead stick or Live Tree?
The bare root was not covered with anything to keep the root moist. It looked like a dry stick. I don't know if it arrived from Gurney's to Lowe's in this condition as it was lying in the opened box when I arrived to pick it up. Even the staff could only hope that it would live. In comparison, another bare root plum tree purchased through another nursery arrived in the mail with the roots wrapped in damp newspaper and plastic with the tree looking very much alive.
