The Grizzly T31739 12" Variable-Speed Benchtop Drill Press offers the versatility of a large floor model, but in a compact package! Not compromising on the hefty construction, this cast-iron drill press with a steel column weighs in at 88 lbs.
The 1/3 HP motor smoothly powers the variable speed from 400–2700 RPM, with a digital readout right on the headstock for easy monitoring; The headstock is also equipped with a laser site for accurate drill alignment and a handy LED work light.
The precision-ground cast-iron table is 9-5/8" square and tilts 45° left and right; The table includes a 7-1/4" and has four 1/2" T-slots to help secure workpieces to the table with optional accessories such as a vise; Includes a 1-year warranty.

This drill press is perfect to suit my needs, fits exactly where I have room for it and works like a dream! I really have yet to do much drilling with it as of yet but I have tested it out and as stated works flawlessly, I like the work light, the variable speed, and love the lasers. I would definitely recommend this machine to others!

Minor quality control issue
This replaced an old Delta machine that cannot be repaired. It was easy to assemble and the speed control seems very smooth. The keyless chuck is a plus. I will probably never use the laser guides since they have to be re-adjusted every time the material surface changes distance to the head; like moving the table up/down or material thickness changes. Almost every time you use the machine for a different job. When I did the test run there was a lot of noise coming from the motor. It was obvious ...
