What Customers Are Saying
The mower offers good power and cutting performance, with convenient features like LED lights and adjustable deck height. However, the battery life is limited, with most customers reporting only 1-2 acres of mowing per charge, far less than the advertised 5+ acres. There are also concerns about the availability and cost of replacement batteries. Some customers have experienced quality issues and poor customer service when trying to resolve problems. The mower may be suitable for smaller properties but may not meet the needs of larger acreages.

I purchased a Greenworks zero-turn riding mower expecting safe, predictable control. While the mower technically functions, the dual-lever control system does not bring the mower to a controlled stop when the levers are released, which creates a safety concern during normal residential use. This is not about preference or learning curve. The issue is unpredictable deceleration, which increases risk when operating near structures, fencing, or people. I contacted Greenworks immediately to report...

Hello Greenworks, goodbye gasoline!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The biggest surprise is that everything was as easy to put together and it all works exactly as advised. The product is impressively sturdy and this particular 80 volt version has way more power than one would ever need. This is not my first Greenworks purchase. I now have a 21 inch push mower, single stage snow blower, both 80 volt and a weed whip, leaf blower, both 60 volt. My gasoline equipment is all gone and I don't miss any of it. Thank yo...

Great for Mulching
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine has worked perfectly. It works well at mulching leaves. It's nice to set the blade speed higher for mulching. I can easily mow my 3/4 of an acre lawn on one battery charge. I love that my chainsaw, trimmer, blower and now mower all can use the same batteries and chargers. I used the heavy duty steel shipping frame to make a stand for my canoes - bonus!

Disappointment
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a difficult review to write because we love the idea of this electric mower BUT the run time just is not what is advertised or claimed. We have given the Maximus Z over 32 hours of use so far and we can confidently say this mower is meant to be for less than an acre with the lowest blade and speed setting. It is not meant for farm use over an acre which is what we purchased it for. It cannot even do 2 acres on flat ground on lowest se...

Does the 80-volt Maximus 60” Zero Turn Mower really cut 5.12 Acres
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I believe Greenworks 80-volt Maximus 60” Zero Turn Mower is going to be a great mower. It is well designed, sturdy, and comfortable to ride. It did a great job of cutting my yard and my field. However, I had to charge this lawnmower five times to mow approximately 8 acres. But this could be because of the height of the grass and the settings I placed the mower in. The first charge I mowed an area where the grass was quite high, I set the m...

It is a keeper!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this mower for 4 months now and I am very pleased with it. I have a half-acre yard and I can mow it twice on one charge. I have had a few issues with traction in tight turns but nothing unusual. Love the “cargo bed” in the back instead of a hot, noisy motor. So easy to maneuver and the ride is smooth. Cutting height is very easy to adjust.

2 Teslas and an EV Zero Turn
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a large property and have spent years maintaining gas powered mowers. The Greenworks is a great investment. Like move EV vehicles and equipment, it requires minimal maintenance and just goes. Can I use it all day? No, nor would I want to. I can move 2 acres easily, plug it in, and continue later that day. We manage our pasture, expansive lawns, and grasslined drive with it and enjoy the ease of use, the quiet, and do not miss the smell o...

Okay- not great
Doesn’t last long enough to cut 3 acres even on a full charge and lowest settings. Cuts nicely if the grass isn’t overgrown.

Best Battery Zero Turn
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am writing this review for a friend of mine. He purchased the 80v Maximus Z zero turn and he/I could not be happier. He is an older gentleman and I have been the one mowing for him. I have 44 hours total on this machine so far into the 2025 season. I am very pleased with the structure of this unit and the cut quality. The battery life is excellent for my application. This is a comfortable machine to operate on for hours at a time. It also ful...
