I love the flooring and the color. The distressed look is very nice. Downfall to the distressed texture, i have snagged my socks and swifter pad on them a few times. I do feel it does chip easily, i have invested in a stain marker to help camouflage the areas that have chipped, and since theres variations in the color, its easy to hide the dings

Good choice, with caveats

Overall this is a good flooring choice. It is relatively easy to install once you've puzzled out all the randomly sized pieces. My three primary complaints are: 1) the finish is pretty superficial, meaning it's really easy to scratch through the color to the wood. I can't imagine this would be great for kids and pets? 2) several of the longer pieces were warped, which created installation challenges that could only be solved by cutting those boards and using half on opposite walls. 3) In my exp...

I think the hardwood was great. It is wood and the planks are wide. There will be inconsistencies because it is wood. if you don't know how to handle natural wood stick to an engineered product. Knowing how to install bows is part of the process of installation. Bad reviews of gaps and such is just ignorance of installation.

The wood looks great. What I did not like was the delivery process. I paid $70 to have it delivered. They said because the boxes were stacked on a pallet they could not bring it inside. They couldn't get the pallet off the truck so they had to take the boxes off and they still would not take the wood inside. They set it at my front door and I had to carry in 16 boxes of hard wood flooring into my house myself.

I've used this product before and over the past 2 years it has performed extremely well. It is difficult to work with as the boards are cut to slightly different widths and some are not straight. I recommend a professional installer to handle the inconsistencies in the material. If I was installing it myself, I would rate it at a 3 star, because of the difficulty of the material. That said, "It really looks great upon completion! Professionally installed, it gets a 4 star rating.
