Worth the extra cost
The wood surface completes the look. I wouldn't have gone without these. I also prefer working on the wood surface to the bare metal. One thing I will say, I recently added two Gladiator cabinets with two of these wood tops to my existing cabinets. They still look the same as the older ones, but the surface of these are not as well sanded/finished as the older ones. Seems like they could use another sanding and an extra coat of poly, so that's a bit disappointing. My former ones were super smoot...

It’s a nice piece, but I’m not sure it was worth the money I paid. I paid it anyway to have a completed look and use, just given the total investment, would think it would be a bit cheaper.
