Create the right scaffolding system for your job

When buying Scaffolding, buy sections or individual components to create a system to suit your needs. A scaffolding system includes the frame plus planks and stages.

Rolling and portable scaffolds, which consist of a frame and one or more platforms for standing, are a good choice for people who change positions frequently.

When working at high levels, add-ons such as guard rails and outriggers provide security and stability. While safety requirements vary with the type of equipment you have, below are a few general tips to keep in mind when using scaffolding. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use and safety.

Don’t exceed the equipment’s restrictions for height, weight or number of people using the equipment. Factor in the user’s weight, clothes and gear, and any tools and materials that’ll be on the equipment.

Inspect all components for damage. Don’t use damaged equipment.

Keep work surfaces clear of clutter and debris.

Most household jobs go wrong at the same point: the ladder puts one foot on a rung and there is nowhere to set the paint can. This folding work platform replaces that with a full 40 by 12-in deck to stand on, built on a 6061-T6 aluminum alloy frame rated to 500 lbs or 226.8 kg. Height is adjustable rather than fixed, locking anywhere from 23 to 34.5 in, which is the range between working at a counter edge and reaching a ceiling line without stretching. Footing is handled three ways at once: the deck surface is textured and non-slip, anti-slip pads sit under each foot, and a secure locking mechanism holds the legs open so the platform will not fold while it is loaded. It should be used on dry surfaces and kept away from oily conditions, where any pad loses grip. The whole platform weighs 10.69 lbs and folds down slim, so it slides into a car trunk or stands in a corner rather than taking a wall. Painting, maintenance and reaching high places all work from the same deck, at home or on a professional job.

500-lb on a 40-in Deck: A 6061-T6 aluminum alloy frame carries up to 500 lbs or 226.8 kg across a 40 by 12-in standing deck for stable two-foot footing
Locks 23 to 34.5-in High: Height adjusts and locks anywhere between 23 and 34.5 in, or 584 to 876 mm, so the deck matches the job instead of a fixed rung
Textured Deck and Leg Lock: A non-slip textured surface, anti-slip foot pads and a secure locking mechanism keep the platform from sliding or folding under load
Painting and Maintenance: The same platform covers painting, maintenance and reaching high places for both everyday household jobs and professional work
6061-T6 Aluminum Frame: The frame is 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, a structural grade that keeps the platform sturdy under repeated loading without adding weight
Folds Flat at 10.69 lbs: The platform weighs 10.69 lbs and folds slim enough to slide into a car trunk or stand in a corner, and it needs dry oil-free footing
Specification: Load Capacity: 500 lbs / 226.8 kg; Adjustable Height Range: 23-34.5 in / 584-876 mm; Platform Size: 40 x 12 in / 1016 x 305 mm; Net Weight: 10.69 lbs / 4.85 kg; Material: 6061-T6 Aluminum Alloy; Design: Foldable; Non-Slip: Yes
