Great disappointment.

The entire cooling system and compressor were replaced after failing. The refrigerator was delivered in March and failed within 3 months. This refrigerator replaced the exact same model I purchased 2.5 years ago. That refrigerator's cooling system and compressor failed as well. When it couldnt be repaired by Bodewell GE fulfilled the warranty. I appreciated the replacement; extremely disappointed in having the same failure occur. I am praying the repairs will last.

Not exactly a successor to PYE22KYKSS

I am a little disappointed that this model does not display the amount of water dispenser like the model that it allegedly replaced in the product line up. ALSO despite being listed as a replacement for a discontinued model it uses a different water filter and I have a tjree pack remaining from the previous refrigerator. Any chance GE will give me a credit for three RPEFE filters so I can now purchase XWFE ones

Great refrigerator

GE has improved this unit immensely since my 2009 purchase of a similar model.

Plusses and Minuses

Good storage, however doors do not close easily and I don't love the icemaker/water dispenser as its impossible to dispense without making a mess. The refrigerator door is weighted to stay open vs. close, which makes no sense.

Water is pooling under meat and cheese tray

We are seeing a pool of water gather under meat and cheese tray that we have to use multiple rags to remove. Unknown source! We discovered this last year and don’t know how long this has been happening. Gone unnoticed and it turns to mold!

good fridge for the money

overall is good, could use better plastic on some of the interior components, seem kind of delicate and may breke.

Well made

We were pleased with the quality right from the start . The icemaker makes nice large cubes and there is room in the freezer for ice cube storage . Fruits and vegetables and the crisper drawers stay nice and fresh without freezing .

Fingerprints

How do you remove fingerprints. It’s supposed to be resistant

Disappointed: 3 years and it's replacement time.

My wife hates it. We've had it 3 years and we found that the freezer door doesn't close easily. When it doesn't close properly, the contents thaw and we lose what's in there. This has happened at least 3 times in the 3-years that we've owned it. We just bought its replacement. We will let the folks making delivery haul it off.

French doors limit ease of use

The refrigerator has limited capacity for storage and the French Doors are a nuisance to use. The freezer drawer is difficult to use. However, the drawers for meats and other items are well designed and the digital settings are easy to use. The ice maker works efficiently, but the ice cubes are small. The biggest problem- the right front door had a faulty gasket - it was actually disgraceful to sell a unit with this defect and it took over a month to get the gasket replaced!
