Keeps pump house from freezing.
This heat lamp is used in my pump house. It is plugged into a thermostat the comes on at 37°. It works great for this application.

Bad HeatLamp/Vet Bill
Originally I thought it was a decent price for a heat lamp bulb. It worked (produced heat) for 4 days after purchasing. Then our weather took a turn for the worse. Temps dipped to the freezing point (30°-33°) at night. The heat lamp would light up but produced almost no heat at all. Wasted my money and it cost me a vet bill as well.
