Just got this. Delivery guys were great! This is in a laundry closet on our 1st floor just off our kitchen. The overall build quality seems "cheaper" than 20+ year old model it replaced. Metal is thinner and likely adds to it being noisey. The first issue is the control panel graphics. Who thought putting gray lettering on a black label was a good idea? Not side vented
Got delivered today and it says side vented option, says side cap whole pops out! ( it does not, my husband tried for 3 house, it is attached and does not pop out as many other reviews say, we are not knowing what to do. We have to hire someone to cut the side whole out!!! Very disappointed! Lowe’s appliances dept and customer service is no help.

I can not recommend this unit. We have had it for a few months. It is hard to use. The push button hardly works. The dryer sometimes does not dry even when the load is small. It is better than the matching washer but not much. Had GE for years and they were very good but not now.

Great replacements for GE Profile washer/dryer
We've owned GE appliances over the last 25 years. The old GE washer/dryer combo replaced (12 years old) endured a major move, college age students, and was used almost daily. I replaced my almost 30-year-old Maytag and was so excited to get an upgrade of my dryer. However, I have been very disappointed in this dryer. Does it dry?
