Commonly reported issue causing short life

I bought this dish washer just over 5 years (which means that its now out of warranty). I have been having the same issue that a lot of people have reported with this machine, ie the UI control board is messed up. My machine would stop working, and after a few times on unplugging and plugging the machine, it would start working again. Lasts 8 years then dies

Was a great cleaning, quiet DW until 8 years later it just stopped working. No troubleshooting available to figure it out. Appliances should last longer.

Doesn't last long

It is a nice quiet model but lasted less than 8 years under light use. The one year warrantee shows GE is not confident with their product.

Disappointed

Product went out at around yr 4 to 5 have been without it since. Product should last more than 5 years. No warranty, we will have to buy replacement.

Maybe it's the company!

This model was given to us by the builder when we purchased a new construction home. This dishwasher lasted 4 years but the worse part is we hardly use our dishwasher. The dishwasher stopped turning on about 4 months ago. I also have a GE microwave that doesn't work either. The turntable started spinning when you open the door and then stops when you close the door. The microwave continued to work even though it was spinning but after a couple of months the turn table no longer spins when in use...

Issue with the power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product have a lot of issues with the power, it does shut off and does not start some times disconnecting but some times does not work, I changed the board twice and still the same issue

Stopped working after a few years.

After having the dishwasher only a few years, it kept shutting off / wouldn’t start - as in the display was dead. Resetting the breaker worked for about another two years until the dishwasher wouldn’t come on at all. We just replaced the control board, which worked for two weeks. The dishwasher is now “dead” and we ruled out electrical issues. Disappointed.

Control panels/boards always needing replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Within less than a year had to replace the door locking mechanism and had to replace it again 6 months later and then 3 months later had to replace master control board. Which apparently many, many people have had to do. Do better GE!
