GE Extra Large Room Window Air Conditioner , Remote Included ( 240-Volt , 23700-BTU )

I bought this unit early summer. It cools amazingly. However by the end of summer the buttons that control settings don't work on the right. BUT it does have a workable remote that WILL. Anyone who wants to check it out before buying is welcome. You must remove from my window and be able to carry it by yourself.

Garbage

It blows air, very rarely cool air. The warranty is sad and the return policy through Lowe’s is a joke. What a waste of time and money this was.

EPIC FAIL!

So the problem with all these smart devices, vehicle, appliances, etc, is they try to tell you what you need instead of what you actually want. This air conditioner basically sets the temperature by reading what the outside air is. So no matter how cold you put it, it will not cool to what you set it on because it reads that the temperature is cold outside. Looking for another one now. Bummer!

We have gone through 2 of these unit in less than 3 months. The first one didn't last a week. GE refused to refund. Instead issued a voucher after forcing me to buy a second identical unit. They would not cover the taxes on the voucher of the second unit. The unit made a raging noise and wouldn't even turn off. Power surged due to storm, it quit. Now the second unit has just froze up after 2 months of use, made a racket and wouldn't turn off either. Had to unplug it. Tried to call GE, waited 30...
