Poorly Constructed
Interior wood is untreated pine (not oak), which will rot out quickly when exposed to any moisture. Only visible surface is oak. Rear oak strip is just stapled to the main unit, which will detach after repetitive use. I had to disassemble the unit, coat all wood surfaces with polyurethane to prevent moisture absorption, then glue and reattach rear oak strip to ensure it doesn't detach. Decent option for the cost
The wood in the threshold in my entry door had rotted away and needed replaced. This item fit perfectly in my existing doorway and provided a snug fit for the door to seal. It was a much better alternative to replacing the entire door jamb. A couple pieces of advice- Make sure this will fit in your entry- if you have to cut it down it's going to be difficult because of the metal/wood combination.
