Unfortunately, I never looked at the broiler portion of it when I made my purchase and discovered that it is electric instead of gas after it had been delivered to my home and I used it for the first time. If I had seen that, I would not have bought it. I am stuck with it. I do love everything else about the oven, but knowing the broiler was electric would have been a deal breaker for me. Don't Love Mine - Esp. the Blower
It seems to cook fine. BUT...I cried the first time I used it because the vent blower is so loud and runs the entire time the oven is on - and until it has completely cooled down. (I knew I wouldn't be able to replace the over for a long time, unless it dies a premature death like my 10-month old Frigidaire microwave did). That high-pitched squeal hits my last nerve and ruins events when I'm cooking for guests. Also, I can't seem to find a replacement griddle that fits over that middle burner....
