Bought 6 last August. One started randomly chirping the follow July in the middle of the night and would not stop. Took it down took it in the other room (where another one was installed) would not stop chirping until deactivating it. Don't much like the idea of not being able to rely on a smoke detector.
Malfunction after 2 1/2 years
I bought two of these PC1210 Combination Smoke and Carbon monoxide detectors and installed them on 2/23/2022. Supposed to last 10 years. But after 2 1/2 either one or both (not even sure which one) will randomly start chirping. I bought 2 of these detectors and they both malfunctioned after a year and a half. Wouldn't stopped beeping. Absolutely NO smoke or heat that could have set them off. I'm going back to removal battery powered detectors that can be reset.

Easy Installation, Good for Ten Years
Not much to rate in a smoke and CO detector. This one installed well, tested okay, and sits there silently doing its job. I like that there is never a battery to replace.

This detector comes with internal battery so there is no need to install or replace batteries. Just know that when the battery dies it's done.
