Perfect size for the project and a nice shape. It would have been nice if this piece came finished.

Nice elegant look, painted it cherry red, with gloss. I can’t wait to see what it look like with the railing is complete.
Reliable, easy to sand down
These Oak Rosettes are just right for me. I use them as awards for Veterans thru the Norwich Area Veterans Council.

Used for hand rail support attachments. Made better support than just attaching into studs

overall the quality is fine for red oak. Rosette would need a lot of sanding if to be stained and finished. routed edge is rough and not cabinet grade. for painting it would be ok. item came flat and mount to wall for stair railing with no issue.
