Finally found what I was looking for!

I had been looking for a crown molding with a rope insert for months. I'm renovating my beach house kitchen and had an image in mind to replace the existing crown molding on the kitchen cabinets with something larger and with a beach theme. Excellent product

We purchased eight of the 8 foot Alder Crown Moulding and were very satisfied with the results. Purchase a few feet more than needed unless you are an expert at cutting the angles. We weren't. Also run some sandpaper over the moulding before and between paint application. Then all that is needed is to fill in the counter sunk nails and at the joints with paintable compound. We love this molding. We live in a 1905 colonial square. There was a small chair rail as crown molding, common for that time. We wanted something that was more detailed, but not too big. We also used it as the lower piece of triple crown molding in 2 rooms.
