This door is fully finished and should not be painted or stained in any way to prevent damage to the product, it is made for interior use only. There is a Structural trimming allowance of 1/4-in on each side and 1-in on the bottom. Please note that trimming will damage the finish, also any edge that was trimmed should be sealed, stained or painted to prevent moisture from entering the wood.
