Would Recommend

Product can mostly assembled by Lowe's. Poor instruction manual. Had to watch several YouTube videos to learn how to get started with oil and hydraulic fluid. Once started, works very well on first day.

Battery case/grinder teeth

Would Recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only complaint I have is the battery mount/casing is brittle plastic and with the vibration of the machine can snap. I had to use straps t reattach. Other than that the machine works great and the teeth last forever!

Ok machine

I got one new in the crate 2 years ago. No real assembly instructions, bad battery hold down design , and some sub standard welds. Other than that, it does the job.

DK2 OPC505AE Gas Chipper: Expensive but worth it

Detail K2 OPC505AE Gas Chipper, Reasonably easy to assemble out of the crate. The infeed chute was banging on the gas tank during shipping and left a dent and paint scrape, but only cosmetic. Many claim the hydraulic hoses are too short during install. I found they are the right length, but are assembled on a bench or jig, therefore don't have the same curves as they are installed. Hang the speed control loosely from 1 bolt while installing the forward/reverse handle, should be able to twist...

Hyd. hoses were to short.

I work on an apple orchard that is 22 acres and 1000 trees that is located on the side of a mountain. This chipper is the perfect size for getting next to trees and around the trees. The hyd. feed makes all the difference in the world and have cut our labor time in half. Assembly took a little time, the hyd. hoses to the speed control were a little short, but I made them by stretching them. I did install an hour meter on our unit. (not included). Would Not Recommend

Received damaged hydraulic hoses to short. 3inch limb stalled it and now it won't start no manual. Called DK not sure what they're going to do. Trying to figure out Lowe's return policy and thier not much help. Tried loading pictures this sight wouldn't allow me to.
